Have you ever eaten a chewing gum before?


Okay2, I don't mean 'eat' as in swallowing it. I mean chewing it.

Well, I do.

Because of that, today's post will be about chewing gum. =D

Okayh, lets imagine before your eyes is a chewing gum wrapped nicely. Say, whatever brand of chewing gum would be your interest. Just imagine it by heart.

Then slowly, you unfold the paper wrapping the gum. It looks really nice! Your saliva starts to accumulate in your mouth.

"Man! this must be yummy!!! =D"

Just consider that to be your monolog (lame).

They you slowly place the gum in your mouth.

How does it tastes like? Sweet? sour? Well, who cares! It tastes good!! And the texture of the gum also is very soft and tender. You feel like you can chew this gum all day!

But what happens when you continue chewing it?

Chew, chew, chew, and chew again....

Eventually, the sweetness of the gum starts to fade away...

"eikh!!"

Your jaw muscles started to get tired of chewing the gum. Also, you are getting nothing but your very own saliva from which you are swallowing.

Then after some time, you start to feel like the presence of the chewing gum in your mouth is a nuisance.

Then suddenly....

"Ptui!!! ><"

"fuhh, lega! jom cari gum baru! =D"

Note: Post ni bukan untuk memfire siapa2. Kalau terasa jugak padan muka. hahaha

At first, I honestly do not even imagine the use of learning Malay language. Imagine, me, a Malay, refuses to learn Malay language? Disturbing isn't it?


Lucky I've obtained A1 in SPM haha.

And I've seen my Chinese friends who refuses to learn Malay simply because they think it is unimportant. I'm not being racist here. It is understandable. But learning wouldn't hurt now, wouldn't it? 0.o

You see? The rank for Malay language isn't so bad. It ranks in the 10th. I dunno to you guys, but to me, its "wow" enough!

Oh, and hell yeah we've beaten German and Japanese in that sense. =D

Some people may argue to say that the Malay language is different from Indonesian!
Well personally, I don't think its THAT different. We do come from the same root and to me, Indonesian is like a different accent (I think I can even understand Indonesian language better compared to the Sarawak accent).

Yeah, nice day to start a writing again. Pretty boring actually. Mengantuk, letih, but I still have the desire to write something. I wonder why...


Have you ever had a personal conflict where decision is very hard?

Are going to follow your rational mind or to follow your emotions?

What did you ended up choosing?

I say, males will have the tendency to chose a more rational decision, unlike female, they will tend to choose the other one.

Now, now, I know if you are a girl, you might be cursing me right now. Sexist la SyaukaT!! ==

Do not feel like that. Because in fact, I am complimenting girls!

Why?

You may disagree with me, the decisions that we make in our life may not be rational at all. But we do not regret it.

Yeah sometimes, we do not have to be rational to choose something. Sometimes we will just follow our heart hoping it will determine whether it is right.

To me, that emotions are what makes us human.

Too much rationality to me, is like a robot where everything is calculated according to percentage of chances and probability. To me, that is bullshit.

So generally, males are robotic in their thinking.

Which is why, males need females to be on their side. Because naturally, males and females complement each other.

2nd week as a medical student has been going fairly well for me. I hope this goes on for a while.


Okay, on the last week's entry you guys have probably read about a friend of mine who asked something about my religion. This week it happened again. This time, its an australian lecturer who asked.

Her name is Dr Deborah Zion. As you can tell by her name, She's a Jew.

Oh no, don't get me wrong. She smiles a lot. She's really nice, friendly and talkative. =)
So we were discussing about alcohol ethics and she asked a question which is
"Do any one of you come from a family who do not consume alcohol at all?"

And then there a few of my colleagues who raised their hand which of course, including me.

Dr: Sorry, are you a muslim?

Me: Yes.

Dr: So can you tell us about the reasons why muslims are prohibited to consume alcohol?

To be honest, I was struck by her question. I knew it would come to this situation because I'm the only muslim in my group.

So at that time, suddenly all my friends suddenly place their hands under their chin signifying their eagerness to listen. =="

With a pump of anxiety, I mustered my courage and carefully answered the "killer question"; keeping myself calm at the same time.

Me: Well, it is taught by prophet Muhammad that liquor is prohibited. The Arabs used to drink a lot those days. When the revelation came, suddenly all of them stopped drinking..........

And I goes on talking about the punishment of hellfire and that sort of stuff. And how Allah prohibit any sort of action which is detrimental to our physical and mental health.

So guys, it is not my intention to brag, but alhamdulillah, I found myself able to explain to them fairly in a smooth way.

The moral of the story,

1) Make yourself fluent enough to talk in English because you do not expect them to ask you this sort of question in you mother tongue (unless English is your mother tongue)

2) I remembered ustazah Noorhazlina (my LAN islamic studies teacher) warned me about this. So she said that it is really important for us to know Islamic terms in English. Now I can see why.

Oh and to Mr Easy, I am rationing your cigarette! chaiyok bro! =D

Psst... Hey there.. Yah you la! ==

I'm here, tak boleh cakap kuat2. Because I'm currently using the Histology room's computer. Believe it or not I'm using it for facebooking and blogging right now. Haha.

Now is week two for my venture as a medic student. The orientation was cool. Really cool!! I mean it.

One day there is this one friend of mine asked me a question.

JC: Dude, are you a muslim?

Me: Yes I am. =)

JC: Are you a type of modern muslim who does not pray five times? 0.o

Me: Err..~

To be honest, I was kinda offended by his question. The fact that my face touch the ground five times a day makes me not modern?

But then I tried to get hold of myself and started to think.

I cannot blame him at all. Really. It is our fault entirely!
We are the ones who makes them have that idea of stereotyping muslims. Because most of them see that successful muslims do not pray five times maybe?


I smiled at him and said,

Me: I am a muslim, and I pray five times. The fact that I'm here doesn't mean that I am a caveman is it? =)

JC: Of course not, sorry I dunno much about you guys.

Me: Relax dude, it happens all the time. =)

Commencing MBBS course. Come to think of it. This course is five years. I mean. To be honest I've never been in an institution for more than 4 years at most (which is during my primary). It's because my parents are always moving from here to there.


So I can't imagine me fixed in Monash for more than that. Luckily I'll move to a hospital during my clinical. =D
